Confidence

(lots of typing.... don't HAVE to read)
The nature of a teen girl. Confidence is a weird thing. Its something we obsess over, cry over, feel good about, and sometimes its all we think about. The question is... "Why do we care so much about it? What is it? Am I confident?" The thing is, the question, "Am I confident?" always gets confused with "Do I care what others think of me?" Those are two different questions though. Sure, what others think is part of it but only a small part. Confidence is really not about "do I care about this?" its about "What do others see me as?". You can be unconfident but still not care what others think. You can be confident and care what others think. If your unconfident but still don't care what others think, it means you don't really think others like you but you could care less. People may love you but if your not confident and don't believe they do, you still have the choice of caring or not caring about it. If people don't like you and you know they don't, then your still unconfident, but that doesn't mean you need to care about it does it? People could love you or hate you, yet if your confident, you think that they do like you. The choice of caring is always still there. Mainly though, its about what you think of yourself. You can either hate yourself or love yourself. Again, forget about caring. If you think your a good person, your confident, if you don't, your unconfident. Its also about believing. There are many different types of confidence. Looks, belief, what people think, personality. You can vary whether your unconfident or confident in different categories. I'm unconfident in different ones but especially what other people think about me. I learned that all I needed was a simple "Your a good friend." or "Of course I'm your friend." or "Your one of my close friends.". Once that went through my ears my confidence level slowly has gone up. Sometimes it goes down but never went down like it was before. Try to be confident. Look in the mirror, try to find something that you love about yourself. Because no matter what... something great will always be there. :)

  1. Think about it... if you have a friend... say how good of a friend they are to you. That will feel good to them :)
